maXair Reviews and Remarks

I ride 11 or 12 coasters every time I go but that doesn't mean they're all my favorites. I can't stand waiting in line for TTD when I could get 10 rides on Mantis or WT in that time.

Also some of us only go to CP a few times, so we try to ride every ride we can. My friend just went to CP for school (senior physics, can't wait till I'm a senior) and said that maXair had huge g's or pull, and he said it was more than Delirium. I can't wait to ride next weekend.

Smoking Marijuana isn't a bad thing or even a good one, like everything else, its what you make of it.

I didn't love it. I rode in seat 35 I believe. I must be the first person that felt sick getting off. I'll have to try again, but until then, I didn't love it.

Something that did surprise me was the size of the ride. I've only seen videos of PKI's version, and I was expecting the ride to be huge. When I saw it today, I was pretty surprised how small it looked from the videos, and photos. hmm.

I took two rides on Monday, the first in seat 20 and the second in seat 5 and I definitely agree that 5 was the better seat. I like the ride and I think it is a great addition to that area of the park.

I don't really remember what Delerium was like, but maXair still seemed to park pretty slowly to me. The floor did come up pretty fast though. The biggest disappointment that I see with the ride is the operating procedures they have in place. They only have two people checking restraints in the ring. Perhaps this will change when more staffing arrives. Not only that, they both have to go around the entire thing to "double check." Not really sure why that would be necessary on this ride and not on a coaster such as Raptor or WT or any other - especially when maXair has indicator lights to tell when the restraint is down far enough.

Because indicators can be wrong (as a matter of fact so can people). I would rather they double check me though, rather than rely on a computer to tell them I'm in.

I think a computer and one person is sufficient when one person is sufficient on all the other rides. If they're going to double check everything, they should add two more ops and have them each do 25 seats, rather than all 50. On Monday, the park was dead and the wait was only 20 minutes, but I can see it getting out of hand in July. Intervals had to be in the 4-5 minute range. It wasn't because anyone was horsing aroundor not hustling. It just takes a while to go around the entire ring! :)

You could be right (in your previous post) that they are kinda understaffed right now because the park isn't busy. Hopefully they will pick it up before the busy season.

I would say it's a great addition to the park. I wasn't able to get seats 1-8 (due to assigned seating) but I did get seat 50 (which is next to 1). That was a great seat, I thought at the top of one swing I was going to go all the way over with great airtime. Other seats were in the 20's, 10's, and 40's. Which all were good, but I preferred seat 50 over those.

The sad thing about this ride is I can't ride it over and over because it gets so disorienting. After about 6 times I was too dizzy to keep going. And you do feel the most force when the ride is stopping you after you reach the full swing motion. That was the most disorienting to me. But I love the ride.

And as far as the queues being short, good. A short wait for a great ride. If they build the queues big enough to handle a 45-1hr wait, I doubt after you rode it most people would wait that long for it. A great ride yes, but too short to wait an hour. (though I may be wrong there). I like how the floor falls away.

And it sets that area off very nicely.

I thought the ride was pretty fun. I went opening day and the only complaint i have about it is that the first time i was in line it broke down for about an hour. I know this probably wont happen often in the future but it was a little discouraging seeing that Dragster has had so many breakdowns in the past.

Riding this ride first thing got me a little sick, but the after riding some coasters I got back on and it was better.

I sat in seat 26 and had the 3'rd or 4th ride of the day on Sunday morning I saw the Raptor upsidedown view only once..... I thought it was a little too long of a ride .....i loved it during the middle of the ride , but it takes a while to slow down and it made me feel sick for a while after......I havn't seen anyone puke yet...... This thing is awesome to watch at night and the lighting makes it look ike a freakin UFO.. they should have named it that instead.......I really don't think I got that much maxAIR anyway.. maybe seat #26 was broken or something......fun ride though!!!

Incredible expierence! I had never ridden that type of ride before and wasn't sure if I was going to ride it. I had to see it in person, first.

I rode it 3 times. Each ride seemed more intense than the one before it. I rode seats 23, 25, and 30. I wanted off, and away from that thing after seat 30...

I rode it for the first time today. The first time I was in seat 15 and thought that it was pretty fun. Later we rode it again and this time I got seat 4. It was like 20 time better than the first ride. It's an amazing ride. I'm glad the chose to put it in. I mean it even fun to watch. Not to mention that the dropping floor is awesome.

Oh and by the way. Watch the grass in the ride area when you're waiting. All the grass sways as the ride swings past it. It's cool to look at.

I FINALLY made my 1st trip of the season and rode MaXair twice. I rode in seats 16 and 44.

Honestly... I am a little disappointed. It was a fun ride, but a lot more tame than I had expected it to be. I didn't really notice the spinning aspect of it after it really got going, and felt a little bit unaccomplished, I guess, after getting off it. I will definitely go ride it just about every time I go, but I am not nearly as dedicated to waiting for it as I am for my 'must-do' rides like Raptor.

I have to say, MaXair was definetely worth the wait. Intense, but fun. and almost no dizziness.

I thought maXair was fabulous, and even though they are "identical" a much better experience than Delerium. Rode many times (on a Joe Cool early ride time) one morning, and the best ride did seem to be when I was in seat 2.

The parking of the ride was much faster than PKD, and the floor seems faster, too. The ride cycle was longer as well, I counted (from the smallest to the largest to the smallest again) a total of 19 swings. I'll have to compare that to Delerium.

Out of curiosity, is there any comparison to the feeling you get on Chaos? I kinda figured that'd be the closest you'd get to maxair.

I've mentioned before that I get ill on the Matterhorn-type rides, but I was cool with Chaos. From the comments I've seen here, the "vomit-comet" factor really doesn't come into play on maxair.

Just wonderin'.

of all the seats i have sat in, i liked seat #12 the best

I have only ridden twice, in seats 16 and 44.

44 was a blast.. still hoping for the 'money' though.
