Yeah, the park is empty. Rerides on one train op:). I'll be there both days next weekend...you guys should try and catch my 1,000th train on Sunday, if I can pull it off . Look forward to seeing you both!

I was supposed to go to MIA today, but will be going next Sunday instead. I shouldn't expect any crowds then, right? I'm really looking forward to Shivering Timbers, it looks like a great ride.

Should probably go into the Meetings forum, but is anybody next Sunday going to MIA from the Metro Detroit area? Perhaps we could all caravan over there or something...

Edit: Contrary to popular belief, I don't bite.

Sorry, I'll be comming from Toledo. Wouldn't mind meeting at the park if you'd want to, though.

I'm assuming most of you have CF season passes, but I should make it known that our admission dropped to only $16 for the rest of the season. The price decrease is due to the waterpark being closed. Also, if you buy a MIA season pass for the '03 season you receive a free day pass for this season.

Hope to see you all next weekend!

Wow, $16 is really inexpensive for a great park like MIA.

Hey, ST Kara. I just want to say thanks for taking a lap with me last Sunday on Timbers. It was nice meeting you. This is my very first post on GTTP. I spent the day with my 4-year-old son--his first trip to MIA--and had a great time. He loves Zach's Zoomer. We rode it over and over and over! Good luck this weekend on # 1000.
I hope to meet you this weekend, ST Kara! I'll be the old guy in a tie dye shirt...

Hey all. First off, thanks for all of your comments, they really made me smile; and like I said, I couldn't have come this far without most of you. Glad you finally got posting, MForce! It was great riding with you as well :).

Second, an update . As of closing today, I need exactly 9 more rides til the big 1K. To clarify some things, I'm not shooting for exactly 1,000 rides to end the season...I'd like to ride as much as possible while I still can. SOOO, I will be there at chain dropping tomorrow morning. Its been confirmed that we'll only be running one train tomorrow, that means we'll get around 15 trains an hour. I realize this could present a problem, considering I would be getting this ride that many of you are driving multiple hours to ride with me for (I love you all!) relatively early in the day. So, I say we set a time a little later that we can all be there. I'm going to be a leader here and say shoot for around 1:00 at the ST entrance. I'll ride 8 laps in the morning and then go enjoy the rest of the park to give you all a chance to get there. Traditionally I sit in the front row for the big marks, so we'll have some organizing to do. Anyway, let me know if 1:00 is cool with everyone...I can't wait to see you all tomorrow

Ack... I wish so much I could be there! 1:00pm tomorrow I'll be thinking of you, and I'll be there in spirit :)

Alas, I also will not be there for closing day. I really envy you, ST Kara, for living so close to a great park. By the way, can somebody tell me how to insert smiley faces in a reply (sorry, I'm new here.)? To everybody heading out to MIA tomorrow--have a great time!
