Her lapbar was down only two clicks, mine was at 3, and we rode with our hands just under the bars to prevent them from falling down (a trick Kara showed me). Major airtime all the way through, although I believe Kara's seatbelt was looser than mine was.

Hey OldCPer,

She was SO far outta her seat that I saw her butt on the first drop. Go back and look at that pick and note how high the backs of the cars are. And where her lapbar is located. Watching her ride ST made me think of those that do the motorcycle jumping, one handed fly thru the air, while kickicking, thing! :)

Kara KNOWS how to ride 'Timbers!

I can't wait to ride it again with the bar only 2 clicks. I think it was 3 clicks for me on her 1000th...

James, its a good thing you didn't come...we'd probably get e-stopped on Be Bop all day and not make enough laps to achieve the 1000 ;).

Well, I'd HOPE I'd know how to ride Timbers after hundreds of laps ;). It's really noticable when a person over 6 feet gets air...thats going to be my excuse. However, I feel I do know how to assist the air at some points. Time and time again I freak the people out who ride behind me. Atleast once each time I visit people comment on how much air I get...once a guy even suggest I sue the park because I was not secured...lol. I swear each season I get the same bruises in the same places from holding the bar with my knee. Anyway, I'll be giving lessons on how to achieve maximum air on Timbers next season for $5 a pop, beat the rush and sign up now!

Thanks again for everyone's comments...eventhough the day has passed and the ride is closed, its really great to recall the events of closing day.

Theres a park in Michigan? LOL Jk. All my life Ive lived in Michigan (24 years) but I didnt know there was a park until CF bought it last year. hehe

I'm going to show my age here; but I have been going to Michigan's Adventure since it was named "Deer Park Funland" and the closest thing to a coaster that they had was a choo choo train.

I'll help you feel better, MrScott, because I too went to Deer Park Funland as a kid. We used to camp in Muskegon and Pentwater. I had no idea they turned it into Michigan's Adventure until 3 years ago.

You used to camp Muskegon, I lived there. I even fed the deer at Deer Park. I have seen the potential of that park for years. Give it a year or 3 and CF will make it World Class.

I got most of my rides with only 2 clicks on the lap bar and the seat belt as loose as it gets. Airtime is fun :)

Also, Kara, if you want me to send you that picture of us in front of ST, let me know and I'll scan it and send it to you.

Proud to be on the train when ST Kara took her 1,000 lap on Shivering Timbers.

OldCper....camping in Pentwater is AWESOME! The best place I have ever camped in my life! Quite the experience there. MI Adventure has boomed as a park this year! The crowds were nearly tripled at times just due to it being bought by CF and the attention they bring! What a remarkable site! I LOVE PENTWATER! Congratulations on your accomplishment ST Kara! Everyone in that picture looks cute! Great Pic guys!

My favorite story about Pentwater was the summer of 1967. It was blistering hot, so we didn't notice the coldness of Lake Michigan while swimming.

My brother and cousin were out on the dock, and were asked by a photographer if he could take their picture. They let him, and the following year, they were featured on the front of a brochure for the campground. Sure wish I had a copy of that now.

Kara, like Jeff, can't really say much about what MiA is doing. Don't expect anything big. Personally, I think there is going to be some ride shuffling and we may see Camp Snoopy next year.

I did not get a chance to get to MIA this year and I live in Holland,MI only about 45 minutes away, hopefully it will be something big
