MI ADV

And if you think the station is bad now, you should have seen it before CF got ahold of it.

Ya talking about the station of concrete blocks - the same ones that are in my basement? VERY ugly, as I remember it back in '98.

Hey, what if they remodel corky, into a WOODEN coaster? huh? sounds REALLY STUPID if you ask me. this is what someone im'd me.

Anyways, like i said DON'T expect anything BIG in 2003. Attendance is "supposidly" down.

What else would you like to see though? I'm dying to know.

I would be happy with ANY new Coaster additions. I'd be "ho hum" with any new flat ride additions. I'd also be happy with a campground on site. Make MI ADV a destination instead of an afternoon!

I think it needs to be more than an afternoon to make it a destination.

As for Corkscrew's station, yes, it's cinderblock. But instead being white on white (station and track), the station is painted a seafoam green, and the track is now orange, with a rainbow of Intamin-ish looking arches.

Admittedly, the paintjob didn't help the station much, but at least it looks less like a basement now.

Why those colors! Ew! Oh well...I guess the station does look a little better now. Michigan's Adventure needs to bring back the Live Entertainment that they used to have, except better of course!

Hey ST kara, i went to MIA one of the days that you were there talying up your totals for the ride. every time i went to ride it you were there either in line or on the ride. But anyways, remember telling me a little sneak peak about what CP's future ride is?

I do and i remember all the details you told me., Are you still sticking to them now that you have seen the progress this far?

Well i hope to hear from you.

Kara would not offer "a sneak peak" of anything. She knows better.

Nice try.

Well i am no liar. I must say it took me almost an entire days work of a little asking, begging , and pleading to get what i got from her. And from what she had said to me, so far everything is accurate. Why would i have made this up? Like i said i do not lie and plain and simply she told me and my brother some information.
And if she so called"knows better" then she wouldnt have told me about how she found out about it. Apparently her good friend did the animation for this ride and she knew a lot of the facts, she even claimed to have seen the animation.
I did not call you a liar.

Interesting that you call "asking, begging, and pleading" with Kara an "entire days work"

Give it a rest. Tell 'em, Jeff. People who know don't talk. People who don't know DO.

Case Closed.

By the way, while this thread has come back, I had an interesting thing happen today at one of my jobs: It was a manager's bithday today and it just so happens that his brother works here, too. The brother went to visit Mom yesterday and got some kid photos of the Birthday Boy and brought them to me. I, of course, posted those photos on the TV monitors we have running at all Holland locations (8 locations, 5000 people). We run a PowerPoint Slideshow in all of the breakrooms.

One of the pics was from the mid to late 60's and the then kid was on a train. I SWEAR it was at Deer Park Funland! There were drawings of various animals on the cars and it really seemed like I had seen them before. The guy is 3 years older than me and I'd bet that the pics were taken at what has become MI ADV. Oh, and yes, they were B&W photos.

Any idea what is new for 2003 yet? I heard Wolverine Wildcat was getting a facelift! What is the new attraction for 2003 at MI ADV
