Umm if jeff says there is red track as well as white track spotted... ( please don't flame me )Could it mean Dueling rockets?

Or patriotically themed... I mean, that would be consistent with what they did to Knotts this year.

Sweetness. Perhaps, since the track seems to be more out in the open now, they will make an announcement? Lets hope they don't pull a Power Tower on us, although it would keep the speculation going. This is really cool.

Last update from the group is saying that there are two colors of both track and supports on site. There are pieces of track that are deep red and pieces that are white. As for the supports, some are sporting a deep yellow and some a light tan color. The idea of a racing coaster seems all the more possible now.

Racing/Dueling Intamin Launched Coaster. Could this be #16 and #17?

Edit: It would make sense for the Red to go with the Tan and the White to go with the Yellow.

I took pictures of the land clearing near Fool the Guesser, and other spots as well as wooden Stakes with Orange and White Flags on them. Unfortunately, it was on my Friends Digital Camera, who has it at SFWoA today, and he will be coming over for dinner tonight, So I'll see about uploading them tonight... Stick around if you want to see some of the progress... Also, I Know this doesnt really have to do with the supports or Track Sighting, but I took a close up of one of the footers behind the wall, it looks extremely old and rusty...

Edit : Small Typo...

Ok, when I first heard someone propose dueling rockets, I thought they were nuts (and I was ready to flame away ;) ) - but I looked at rcdb.com and Xcelerator only cost $13 million ... so double that, and add in some for a much bigger ride ... $30 million? $35 million? Since they deemed it worth it to spend $25 million on Millie, maybe this is a real possibility. It would get them 16 and 17, and would explain two colors of track with two colors of supports. The double-track colors doesn't seem weird to me, but two colors of supports does ...

(this is getting me all giddy - I have about 10 hours of "free time" on Friday, I think my time might have just been filled ;) )

Why does a racing coaster get them #16 and #17? Gemini doesn't count as two coasters.
"It would get them 16 and 17,"

ya, I thought Cp counted Gemini as One. Either way I'm pumped!

Racing and dueling are different concepts. Doesn't Dueling Dragons at IOA count as two different coasters?

2 different colored sets of supports, to me, seems like it would be dueling / racing. The difference between the Gemini and say PKI's Racer are the difference between calling 1 or 2 coasters. Gemini is one coaster - the track is identical and follows the same supports. The Racer is 2 coasters with 2 unique track layouts even though they race each track set is on its own supports. Think of IOA's Dueling Dragon's - same deal. We may get 16 and 17 by them being 2 layouts and racing.

Does that make any sense?

Yes, duelers count as two because they are usually at least slightly different layouts. They might have the same name, same theme and same basic structure, but there are differences - racers are just side-by-side copies of each other.

Edit: ya beat me to it! =)

Before everyone gets all horny about a dueling ride, consider the (alleged) magnitude of the ride and how it would look on the skyline in a certain few colors.

Thank you for clearing that up Jeff. :)
What if there were three of them. One white. One red. One blue. Oh the insanity!!! It would be the coolest thing ever having three side by side. I don't think there will be three though. Just a fun thing to think about.
Ok now we're just starting to get out of hand =)
