What CedarPoint is lacking the most....

ok, first of all for you people who are saying to get rid of a coaster at cedar point to put in another, forget it, cp will never pull out a coaster, they are so insanely proud of the fact they have the most coasters on the planet it isn't even funny!!! they directly compete with six flags for that honor, but what i think they need to do is add another major ride to the oceana midway, even with wicked twister, its still dead over there. maybe a flying coaster, but i want to see it have its first hill overbanked, meaning, more than 90 degrees

Cedar Point said it themselves that they are not going to build a woodie as big as Mean Streak. Bigger is not always better.

Never say never when it comes to demolishing a roller coaster. If a roller coaster is becoming too expensive to maintain or is getting low ridership then they will probable tear it down or give it to one of its sister parks.

Ohio State, here I come!

CP will not get rid of Corkscrew or Mean Streak. There is plenty of room all over the park for new coasters and rides. I heard someone say that not many people ride Corkscrew put that isn't true. Just b/c there is a short line doesn't mean that the ride isn't getting riders. Corkscrew just has a very high capacity. It has 4 trains on a very short curcuit. However, a flyer would be pretty awesome. If CP gets a flyer, I think that it will omst likely go on Millennium Island and over the lagoon. I think it would be cool to build one on the beach by Wicked Twister and it could swoop down over the lake. That would be awesome but I don't know if CP will have coasters out over the lake. Oh well. We'll see what happens in a few years. Meanwhile, I need to get on Dragster a couple more times!

Race For The Sky!

Looking at their recent history, it seems that all of CP's coasters are the biggest, tallest, fastest, etc. With that in mind, my dream come true would be a 4D, spanking X in every way. X would be the reason that I'd fly to Ca again so having one so close to home would be pure heaven.

Realistically, with the recent birth of Dragster I think that a giant Huss on the beach near WT would really be awesome. Have it like Delirium at PKI and it could swing out over the water. Delirium was a real hoot to ride, and every seat I sat in gave me a slightly different ride as far as the view while being inverted. I loved it!

I'm split over the issue of a flying coaster. On the one hand, X-Flight at SFWOA was not my fav ride that day (the one and only day I'll ever go there). I didnt feel secure, and well I guess it was more a problem with the staff's attitudes all day. However on the other hand, Air at Alton Towers in England is much better. I dont know, I'm just excited about the prospect of riding TTD!

2002 - Guest Services
2003 - Rides 9 days to go! Hyper levels going into overdrive! Parents just happy I actually fly out to the US 1 week today!

Getting a flier stands at #2 on my "Cedar Point Wish List" #1 is a floorless! i've never been on either a flier or floorless but a floorless just looks cooler, that you can do more elements with it, we all know CP needs to up their inversion count!

Also, about where a new coaster might go, i hope this doesnt happen becasue i love this ride but, if CP takes out White Water Landing, that would give them a ton of room, for whatever coaster they might choose next.

CP can't build a coaster by WT there is no room. they allready have a floorless the Raptor and White Water Landing is great on a hot summer day.

No, a floorless is when the track is underneath you, like Kraken at SeaWorld Orlando. Raptor is an inverted coaster. B&M makes both.
oops!
From what I've heard of people who have ridden floorless coasters, they say that it really isn't anything special. It is only cool in the front seat. A flyer on the other hand is a definite unique experience (especially with B&M when you're actually flying the majority of the time as opposed to Vekoma. I think the next coaster we will see (who knows when) will be a B&M flyer that puts X-Flight and Superman: Ultimate Flight to shame stats-wise.

...and the most anticipated event of summer 2003 is...

The Matrix: Reloaded!

I think what CP should consider is a floorless roller coaster. I rode Kraken at Sea World in Orlando and it was one of the best roller coaster experiences I've ever had.

I've been thinking about this for a while now. What if CP took out or moved both the Oceana Stadium and Ocean Motion. In it's place build a pier sticking out over Lake Erie. On it they could put a very twisted Intamin Plug-and-Play wooden coaster and many Giant Huss rides. That would add to CP's bordwalk (sp?) theme they are going for over there.
i never been on a floorless of flying, i think a flying coaster would be the best!! but anything cp builds will be the best.

What CP is lacking most is nightlife for the resorts, marina and campground people. TGIF has a nice bar, but they need some type of night club with entertainment.

------------------
Florida may have Disney World and Key West,
but Ohio has Cedar Point and Put-In-Bay.
It's great to live in Ohio!

Looking at the park's past record of the tallest and fastest, a coaster that does not focus on these two things would be nice, inversions, tunnels, suprises that sort of thing, speed and height are nice, but a change is also good once in awhile...

"What time does the 10:00 pm laser show start?"

Interesting thread title. Funny thing, tho--why would a place with more coasters than anywhere else (except SFMM) be lacking coasters the most? I'm lost...

The CPlaya 100--6 days, 9 parks, 47 coasters, 2037 miles and a winner.....LoCoSuMo.

Get rid of Mean Streak? Are you out of your freaking minds? I love Mean Streak it is one of my favorite rides. As for Corkscrew I totally agree with keeping it besides CP has plenty of room to build something new and exciting for either the 2004 or 2005 season and beyond.

I think they were talking about the variety Coastaplaya but still there is no possible way to have one of each kind of coaster in one park besides I think CP has a nice, diverse collection of High-Speed scream machines.
